Tennessee Dealer News publishes preventative maintenance compliance budget article by Ron Gorsline and Dailey Wilson
Tennessee Dealer News recently published, "Compliance: Setting up a Preventative Maintenance Compliance Budget," by Ron Gorsline and Dailey Wilson, in the January/February issue of the magazine. Ron and Dailey caution dealers to plan ahead with a small investment in good compliance practices on the front-end in order to avoid violation of federal and state laws, which can result in fines, license suspension, injunctive relief and even criminal penalties.
Ron and Dailey discuss case studies in which the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau have investigated dealers and obtained settlements for deceptive advertising violations. If dealers start taking steps now to ensure compliance with state and federal law, they can avoid costly violations later. This article is the first in an ongoing series that will appear in future issues.
