David is a partner in the firm's Washington, DC office. His practice includes representing and counseling banks, sales finance companies, mortgage lenders, auto dealers and other creditors in consumer financial services matters.
Prior to joining Hudson Cook, David was an associate with Venable, Baetjer, Howard & Civiletti in Washington, D.C. from 1994 to 1996. In addition to providing assistance to clients on banking and consumer finance issues, David represents officers and directors of banks and thrifts in enforcement proceedings with federal banking agencies.
From 1990 to 1994, David was an associate with Debevoise & Plimpton in Washington, D.C. David represented individuals and companies in Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement proceedings, self-regulatory organization enforcement actions, shareholder derivative proceedings, grand jury investigations and civil and criminal investigations. He also provided general corporate counseling.
David is a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia State Bar Association, and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
David received his law degree in 1990 from the University of Virginia School of Law, Order of the Coif. He received his Bachelor of Arts with General Honors from the University of Chicago in 1986.
